Making healthy snacks your kids will enjoy.

Looking for suggestions for your children and your whole family to consume healthier foods but you are not quite sure how to begin? You can always begin with healthy kids treats that will please your little ones and your whole family.

Many people have the notion that healthy foods lack flavor. Some people believe that if it is organic and in the specialty aisle of the supermarket that the product is expensive. This is not always the case.

Children love ice cream but fruit sorbet is a better option for them. Fruit sorbet is yummy and full of flavor. You can create a delicious sorbet sundae as a healthy and satisfying healthy Kids treat.

Don't be alarmed if the whole family begins scooping and topping the sorbet as quickly as the kids.

Sorbet captures the essence of summer fruits and is almost completely fat-free. Best of all this tasty dessert is simple to prepare. Sorbet does not contain. Ice cream has air whipped into it, sorbet has virtually none, which makes sorbet a dense and extremely yummy product.

You may add any type of berries to a sorbet recipe. Raspberries and strawberries make a delicious and healthy sorbet. Fruit Sorbet is packed with vitamins and fiber as well as a great sweet taste. When you grow tired of eating fresh fruit, enjoy some of these healthy recipes. Most of the recipes work well with frozen berries too. Sorbet is a great way of adding a touch of summer to the winter months

Make Your Own Fruit Sorbet

Raspberry sorbet is a favorite

Ingredients:.

*2/3 cup of superfine sugar
*1 cup of water
*Purée 23 oz. raspberries with 1/4 cup lime juice.

Instructions:
1)Combine sugar and water in a medium sized saucepan
2)Stir slowly over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
3)Bring mixture to a boil
4)Boil for 1 minute.
5)Remove from heat and cool completely.

Make the fruit purée in a food processor or blender.
Add the raspberry purée to the cooled sugar syrup and stir to combine.

Place the purée/sugar mixture into an ice-cream maker and freeze according to
manufacturer's instructions.

If you don't have an ice cream maker, here is an alternative way to freeze the sorbet. Place the purée/sugar syrup in a metal bowl or cake pan and freeze for 1 hour. Remove from freezer and beat with an electric mixer or whisk; return to the freezer. Repeat at hourly intervals 3 more times.
